It was supposed to be an innocent quiz on social media. Just a bit of fun during the international break, but it went horribly wrong for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

On Wednesday afternoon, Arsenal’s official Twitter account posted a quiz from the club’s website, which was all about Spanish right-back Bellerin.

There is no question that plenty would have taken the quiz, but the response section on Twitter was filled with Arsenal fans having a go at the 22-year-old.

Bellerin was outstanding for Arsenal during the 2015-16 season, but his form dipped towards the end of the 2016-17 campaign, and he has struggled for consistency in the early stages of this season.

Barcelona were said to be desperate to bring the Spaniard back to Camp Nou during the summer, although Arsenal were not interested in a sale.

Bellerin, on his day, is one of the most exciting full-backs in the Premier League, but his day has not arrived on too many occasions this season, and he has taken a bit of a thumping from his club’s own supporters on social media.
