Celtic have been handed a major boost ahead of next week’s Europa League clash, as Rosenborg striker Nicklas Bendtner is set to serve a 50-day jail sentence.
Celtic travel to Hamilton this weekend, but there’s no doubt the Bhoys will have one eye on their impending trip to Rosenborg.
The Bhoys grabbed a huge three points against Red Bull Leipzig to keep their European dreams alive, and a win in Norway could put them three points clear of Leipzig if the Red Bull derby goes their way.

Bendtner will of course not take any part in Thursday’s clash, after the striker dropped his appeal against the jail sentence, according to the BBC.
The incident took place in September, when CCTV showed the former Arsenal cult hero striking a taxi driver in the face after refusing to pay the fare.
While he wasn’t a hugely successful goalscorer in England, the 6 ft 4 in ace has netted 33 goals and added 12 assists in 78 games for Rosenborg, so this is a huge boost for Celtic.
