Phil Parkinson has not joined his players on that trip, but McElhenney – who was accompanied by wife Kaitlin Olson 12 months ago – has found it impossible to stay away.

There is no sign of Ryan Reynolds as yet, with the upcoming release of Deadpool & Wolverine taking up plenty of his time. Wrexham’s squad are having a memorable time, with VIP treatment being enjoyed at famous Vegas nightspots.

Mullin, McClean, George Evans and Andy Cannon made a point of heading to the T-Mobile Arena to watch a unanimous points victory for Alvarez – which ended Munguia’s unbeaten record in his 44th bout.
