Mount has been plagued by injury since signing for Manchester United from Chelsea in the summer of 2023. Mount was able to walk off the pitch but now looks set for another spell on the sidelines. The midfielder's departure forced Amorim to tweak his game plan against City, with Kobbie Mainoo sent on to replace Mount.
