Everton fans have been left divided over Fabian Delph’s red card against Watford.

The former Manchester City man was sent off for his second yellow card against the Hornets.

And some fans instantly took to Twitter to take the midfielder to task, insisting that he should never play for the club again.

He was sent off with the scores at 2-2 as the club eventually went onto prevail 3-2 thanks to a late Theo Walcott strike.

However, a number of other supporters felt some sympathy towards Delph.

Some believe that he won the ball in his second challenge and should not have been shown another yellow card, though some were sure to include a dig in their tweets.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side fought back from 2-0 down to draw level on the stroke of the second-half, with Yerry Mina netting twice in first-half injury time.

Delph’s sending off, though, left the Toffees with their backs against the wall as the clock ticked down to full-time.

Nevertheless, they managed to dig deep and won the game in the last minute, Walcott scoring the winner.

Meanwhile, Everton fans have reacted to one man’s exit!
