Yellows in the 29th and 45+1 minutes of the match led to his dismissal, handing the a man disadvantage for the entire second half.

It's been a rough three-match span for Richards and Palace, who conceded five goals in each of their last two games, losses to Manchester City and Newcastle United. The American defender did, however, manage to score against City last weekend, heading home for his first of the season.
This was Richard's first red card for Crystal Palace.
