The summer transfer window marked Ronald Koeman’s chance to truly remodel a squad he inherited from Roberto Martinez at the start of last season, a mission further aided by Farhad Moshiri’s investment and the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
Accordingly, Everton were one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs during the summer, making three club-record signings in the form of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
However, the Toffees failed to offload contract rebel Ross Barkley – meaning they could end up losing him for free at the end of the season – and also missed out on signing a centre-forward, something Koeman had previously hinted was a priority for the Merseyside outfit.
So, Everton fans, are you happy with your club’s transfer window? Could Koeman have got a few more deals over the line? Should the Toffees have done more to sell Barkley? Let us know by voting below…
